I thought they were cool till they told me it would cost 20 cent extra to mail cause the toothpicks
only added extra postage to one .. so hopefully the rest made it ..as you can see on Erica's cork board her's made it, I also learn to mail cards overseas as long as its to a base it's the same cost as mailing a card in the US.
Erica's cork board the red folder is her Lance Corporal promotion :)
Erica and her flat 'kilroy' guy LOL okay so at least she finally was able to send it.
Erica's feet kickin it on the HUMVEEMiss Devil Dog has been on a training OP on another base away from her barracks of course.
Finally a good word that she is well and tired, she had 14 hour guard duty yesterday,
she just wanted to hit the rack and get some shut eye, here's hoping that happened.
well back in June I signed her up for a fun thing, parents of military children made and mailed cards for 4th of July to anyone who signed their kids up. Well I did and I mailed 20 cards myself that I had made.. well Erica wrote me "what did you do? I got 25 cards from all over the US saying my kids are in whatever service" Well with one of those cards they get what they call a flat 'kilroy' (WWII thing) and they wanted a photo of them with the kilroy guy.. well it took forever but she finally took a pic with him even though she didn't want to.
I'll post a pic of the cards I made and of her with flat 'kilroy' and also her corkboard that has my card on it and her lance corporal promotion on it ....
( (I did receive a thank card from one guy for the card I sent, he said mine was the coolest by far, but I thought it was so awesome he actually wrote every person that sent a card and said thanks .. that was sweet) )
well more to come but it seams a lot will be after the fact some because I dont find out till after and the other reason is security ... so I won't tell what I don't think I can until I am told I can do so ... does that make sense LOL too funny almost
take care :) miss LCpl's mom
