She is back in Okinawa with all the same stuff going on, told her every job has its troubles.
Yesterday Okinawa had a category four Typhoon.. "Songda" Erica says they were safe but they lost her favorite tree the closest shady spot...heres some pics a friend sent me... this first picture is her tree .. the rest are from near by.

japans 8.9 and tsunami
UPDATE: miss erica called today only for a second and the phone cut off.. she just wanted me to know she was safe and sound.. she didn't even feel the earth quake. They did have minor damage in two different spots where she's at.. she also said 20 people from her unit were loading up to fly up north to help out .. at this time she was not one of them. Just wanted to give a little update. Please send your prayers for Japan and its people and all the rescuers.

Salute to Women in the Military
March is National Women's History Month, and it's the perfect opportunity to honor and recognize all of our past, present and future women veterans. In 1943, the Marine Corps Women's Reserve was created, and in 1948 they became part of the official active duty force. In the 1970s, women were allowed to hold more roles within the Corps; by 1975, all occupational fields except for two were open to women Marines. Since then, women Marines have dutifully and selflessly served our country and its citizens. We thank all service women for the dedication and perseverance they have shown for our country. | ||
